What to Eat for Healthy, Clear Skin


A healthy complexion is a real confidence booster.  By intentionally eating foods with specific nutrients, you can improve your overall skin health to attain your dream glow.

To help you get started on the road to picture-perfect skin, we’ve created a menu that will make it easy for you to target your skin concern, whether it’s dryness or wrinkles, sun damage or blemishes.

Simply add one or more of the foods listed below to your daily smoothie and get started on your journey to healthy skin.  Did you know that your skin regenerates itself every 27 days?  That means you’ll need to sip your healthy skin smoothies for at least one month before you start to notice improvements.

Add vitamin A for clear skin:

1 cup kale
1 cup spinach
1 medium carrot
1/2 cup pumpkin, canned

Add antioxidants to protect against sun damage:

1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup grapes
1 granny smith apple
1/2 cup green tea

Add vitamin C to prevent wrinkles:

1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup strawberries
1 kiwi
1 orange

Add calcium to generate new skin cells:

1 cup hemp milk
1 cup kale
1 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp almond butter

Add vitamin E to hydrate skin cells:

1/2 avocado
1 tbsp almond butter
1 cup spinach
1 tbsp sunflower seeds

Add essential fatty acids to retain moisture:

1 tbsp flax oil
1 tbsp sunflower oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 avocado
